Our grapes come from the vines growing on the hills overlooking Georgian Bay. The region's unique terroir of soil and climate influences our wine styles and flavours.

Gillis of Belleisle Winery experimented with hybrid grapes that flourished in the New Brunswick climate producing bigger, more complex flavours, and led to the region’s first and only amarone: Premium Red— winner at the All Canadian Wine Championships.

Born in our petite lot vineyards the grapes are tended by gentle hands: hand pruned and thinned judiciously to produce very low yields of quality grapes and transformed into VQA wines.
