Legacy Liquor Store is launching their first ever Month of Bourgogne – a celebration dedicated to the wines of the influential wine region in eastern France.
Throughout the month of July, Legacy will be hosting a series of masterclasses and seminars around Burgundy wines, releasing small allocation wines, and featuring rare and exciting finds that have never been available for retail before.
Masterclasses and seminars will be taking place in both Legacy’s intimate eight person cellar, as well as at their 30-person Harvest Table. Guests will be invited to explore various themes, sub-regions, producers, and vintages, while receiving first access to small allocation wines, limited offers and pre-orders, and discounts on featured wines. Legacy has partnered with Les Amis du Fromage to provide food pairings for the tastings.
“The initial idea was to stray away from a Bordeaux release. Burgundy is the fastest growing trend in the global wine market with the most intensive wine classification system, so it’s an exciting challenge to introduce it to consumers without intimidating them,” explains Tifa Wang, Legacy’s cellar aster and the driving force behind Month of Bourgogne. “We are extremely excited to work collaboratively with multiple agencies and to share the real passion and art of wine to the consumer… Burgundy is more than just big muscles!”
Wang will be hosting many of the seminars with guest appearances from wine ambassadors and sommeliers, including Mark Shipway, official Bourgogne wine ambassador.
